This summer is all about bitters. Two of my favorite drinks are the Manhattan and the Old Fashioned, so I've long been an appreciator of the subtle depth of flavor that quality bitters add. But Brooklyn Hemispherical Bitters' creative takes on these underestimated staples of the bar have revived my interest in sampling a wider array and maybe even trying to make my own.
Currently in stock at BHB: Rhubarb, Meyer Lemon, Siracha, and Black Mission Fig. I've tried their Meyer Lemon bitters (wonderful!) and have the Siracha and Black Mission Fig on order. I love how long a little dropper bottle lasts—big bang for the buck, when it comes to cocktailing. I'm thinking the Siracha might put Andrew's apartment-famous Micheladas over the top—more on that soon.
